In contrast to my Animation and illustrative work, I enjoy experimenting with Abstract Art in my spare time. Using a technique called Automatic Drawing as a starting point for compositions, I scale up my doodles onto canvases or paper, and paint in black, white and grey tones. I enjoy the challenge of working with such a limited pallet, so I stick to using colour minimally for emphasis. Usually, I paint while listening to music - the whole process is very therapeutic and a great way to manage my fibromyalgia flares!
